- Commensalism in biology, is a relationship
- between two species whereby one (the
- commensal) benefits from the association,
- whereas the other neither benefits nor
- suffers. eg: a certain species of millipede
- and silverfish inhabit the nests of army ants
- and live by scavenging on the refuse of their
- hosts, but without affecting the ants.
